Ken Rediker of WCG was contacted by the Bellville News Democrat, a newspaper that serves the East St. Louis area, for a comment on the closing. While IL doesn`t have as many cave resources as MO, Illinois Caverns still is a significant cave and valuable experience for all levels of individuals. While it`s true that a small downstream area and the ``lunchroom`` are closed to exploration, you can`t state that it`s no big loss!
